A Manitowoc water pump is an ice machine part that pumps water from the water trough up to the distribution tube, then over the evaporator.  In some models, it also forces the water out the drain, for flushing the trough.  If a pump is faulty or weak, it will shut the ice machine down.  This is typically indicated by a safety limit 1 or a long freeze cycle.
